This tight cluster of stars is about 25,000 light years away from earth with an estimated 500,000 solar masses.

M44 - Beehive Cluster
610 light years away in the constellation Cancer. It is an open cluster with approximately 1000 stars in the local group. It is a naked eye object only in really dark skies, but it makes a great visual object in a telescope or binoculars.

NGC 7023 - The Iris Nebula. A dark reflection nebula in the Constellation Cepheus. This pale blue reflection nebula is named after the Iris flower, which it resembles. It is illuminated from within by a few bright stars giving it an eerie glow.
