So during #Monsterdon this past Sunday, there was a bit of a problem in #SeedPeople in that you couldn't really tell that the eponymous seed people were taken over because although they were supposed to be zombie-like with deadened emotions, there wasn't really a difference because of bad acting.
#GoodBoy2026 has a similar problem, except it's in the writing. The human lead is supposed to be acting like more of a dick as stuff starts affecting him. Except he's been unlikable since his first line of dialogue. He's got some illness and has been all like "gah, leave me alone, you being concerned about me is annoying" to his sister from the get go - to the point that later "escalation" just seems par for the course.
It's not even a question of acting. The guy seems to have been written with the emotional maturity of a 14 year old entitled, spoiled brat.
He does not deserve his dog.
