The commercial seal slaughter resumed in #Canada today. This aerial photo of the carnage, which I took back in 2005 when observing the #sealhunt, encapsulates the horror, cruelty & wastefulness of this marine mammal massacre.

I am proud to have been directly involved in achieving & upholding the EU ban on commercial seal product trade. While the slaughter continues, innumerable lives have been saved by the closure of the EU market. #animalwelfare #fur
