I don't want to get overly nostalgic about this, but growing up in the 80s, I feel like science and technology education were aiming to improve national security and the future of humanity. Nowadays, the focus of science and technology education seems to be a way to help capitalism make loads of money.

Anyway, if you know of anything I should read or watch about paper shredders, or anyone in #product #design or #sciencetechnologysociety #STS who might be organizing a conference about shredding, please let me know

Be sure to slow down and read it - not just skim. (I started skimming, and had to force myself to stop.)
