I finally finished #Cryptonomicon by #nealstephenson. It was a book of 919 pages, it was a wild ride, and I loved it! #books #reading Not sure if this books is #sciencefictionandfantasy, but definitely #speculativefiction

My next book to read is "Cryptonomicon" by Neal Stephenson. A huge book, with quite a few awards; I read Snow Crash by Stephenson earlier this year and enjoyed it immensely. I had bought Cryptonomicon a couple of years ago but never tackled it. So, time to rectify this. I want to read my physical books until I get my new iPad and set everything up as I want it. And I have plenty, but I will end up reading some on my old tablet before getting the iPad I want. #books #sciencefictionandfantasy

I was just reading about the movie, Starship Troopers, and about my favorite movie of all time, Pan's Labyrinth. One criticizes the fascist imagination from within, the other explores imagination as resistance to fascism.
