The #SaveBulgaForest campaign kicked off in the week before Christmas, as FCNSW moved into the Bulga State Forest to start logging native forests recovering from the 2019-20 bushfires.
The Bulga Plateau is west of Port Macquarie on the NSW Mid North Coast and the local community in early January 2023 set up camp at the Ellenborough Falls campground.

Two forest defenders and climate activists arrested in Bulga State Forest today
NSW Forestry Corporation had their plans to destroy native forests at Bulga temporarily delayed by the selfless actions of forest defenders early this morning.
More than 50 people attended the blockade and two peaceful activists were arrested after Forestry Corporation called in the NSW Police to dismantle the blockade.
