Limited functionality might also be associated with sharing specific hashtags. I recently tweeted with the #SaveA11yBots hashtag which directly criticizes Musk’s firing of Twitter’s accessibility team and putting OCR alt text bots behind paywalls. Shortly afterward, my functionality was limited.

Thanks @bhavya_reads ❤️‍🩹

En fait "A11y" signifie "accessibility" : le mot commence par A, fini par y et contient 11 lettres. Et ce tag #A11y donne accès à d'autres comptes, bots et conseils pour l'accessibilité visuelle en anglais.

I have tried, for the past three months to #SaveA11yBots. And we have not succeeded in any way. @/AltTextUtil is going to shut down soon. Twitter is going to become entirely inaccessible for me soon. And there's nothing we can do, because it's too late. /1🧵

This report says the research didn't find a reduction in bots but considering how many good bots (like #SaveA11yBots, hourly lyrics and pics, etc) are dying due to the nonsense API changes, I'd wager that means bad bots (with investment for spreading fake news) are increasing

@ken @ProPublica You should be able to find organizers on Twitter under #SaveA11yBots - those bots are still working.

Our argument was accessibility. Some of us said all non-profit bits should be allowed to remain free.

Sure, fire all of your accessibility team, what could go wrong? #SaveA11yBots
