An aftermath shot of the break at the end of the #SantaCruzPier . . .

Shot of the floating debris included as small loader which was still on top of the pier the fell off into the ocean.

Will have to try to find a photo of that too.

Now they're worried that more of the pier will fall into the ocean because it's unprotected.

Don't mess with #MotherNature! 🤷‍♂️

Wow!!! 😲

150 ft at the end of the #SantaCruzPier (where the restrooms & Dolphin Restaurant use to be) fell into the ocean today due to heavy wave action.

Use to love riding/driving to the end of the pier to have a beer & a order of fried calamari w/fries & to look at the seals & enjoy the view.

No more . . . 🤷‍♂️

Nothing left past the dead-end turnaround/parking area where the restrooms & restaurant use to be.

Too bad about the restaurant. Total loss. Hope they were insured.

Doubt the city/county will rebuild the lost section. Probably just fix/reinforce what's left. There are other restrooms just a short distance from the break.

The section that fell was at the end of the wharf and had been closed for construction, according to a business owner.
