Unsurprisingly shipping rates have soared as ships are forced to avoid the Strait of Hormuz, but more unusually shippers have invoked a C19th maritime rule allowing them to leave shipments (now containers) at the 'nearest' port to be picked up by the client at their own expense.... resulting in customers finding their containers/shipments are subject to significant extra costs for onwards transportation to their final (contracted) destination.
More inflationary pressure(s).
