It would be terrific !! Cares for the club, intelligent player, great example to others in how to live and train, set-piece machine, and of course he can pass the ball in transition quickly forward if needed 🙄

#SaintsFc didn't take his one year option up inside the official deadline written into his current deal (5 days after the end of the season)

So he and his people are after a fresh bigger new deal & Saints may be disappointed that they've done this, even though they could have triggered the option weeks or months ago.

I understand his people wanting more money, and I understand Saints thinking a new two year deal on less money is realistic given his injury history and their patience with him.

We'll see what happens - could go either way
