Today's #hike was closer to home, walking through our community, and along Scott's Ridge (now preserved by the #SAHC from development.) Another 6 miles, about 970ft elevation gain (ups and downs). Glad to be at the end of this one... Not the most picturesque, but convenient.

@sheliahunt YES! Those blooms are so gorgeous, and glad to hear they are still there. In the early 1970s, we used to hike and camp there. A housemate worked for the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy, and he spent one whole summer on the mountain. #SAHC #SouthernAppalachia
