It's done! Columbia county was the last post in my Rustic Roads adventure. Some thoughts and stats are at the end of the post:

BeerRiot Blog: WI Rustic Roads FINALE: Columbia County, R69, R110
Stopping at the end of R69 seemed appropriate, since this episode is where this project stops as well. These are rides 125 and 126, completing the entire video series of every Rustic Road.
I am not a boat person … but I'll put a ferry on my route anytime it's not too far out of the way - like the Merrimac Ferry on my way to Sauk county's Rustic Roads!

BeerRiot Blog: WI Rustic Roads: Sauk County, R21, R49, R112
I entered Sauk county on the Merrimac Ferry, because how could I not? This is the second ferry I've used on this Rustic Roads adventure. This one is a little different - it pulls itself along cables.
Who else enjoys a rainy ride once in a while? R75 in Iowa county was a recent drippy scoot for me. Still fun!

BeerRiot Blog: WI Rustic Roads: Iowa County, R75
All season, I've been occasionally mentioning a storm in the area. Rustic Road 75 in Iowa county is where the rain caught up with me.
The Rustic Roads of Grant county: come for the hills and valleys, stay for the view of the Mississippi.

A gravel road leads off underneath the railroad track. This leads out to Potosi Point, a small boat ramp and viewing area with a spectacular perspective on the wide Mississippi River.
Rustic Road 66 in Lafayette county was my favorite on my ride through the southern border counties. It might be in my top-ten state-wide.

BeerRiot Blog: WI Rustic Roads: Lafayette County, R66
It's time to visit the classic Road 66! Don't you mean Route 66? No! I mean Rustic Road 66 in Lafayette county. And I also mean it when I say classic.
Back to it, with only six counties left! Here are Green County's Rustic Roads. Good curves, small bridges, and an awkward supply hose to cross.

BeerRiot Blog: WI Rustic Roads: Green County, R27, R81, R90, R94
Alright, with the new Rustic Roads out of the way, lets get back to checking off counties. There are only six left! Today's is Green county, where we find four shorter, but fun routes.
If you've been longing for the gravel of past seasons, today's video of my return to Sawyer and Bayfield counties for the new Rustic Road 125 is for you!

BeerRiot Blog: WI Rustic Roads: Sawyer and Bayfield Counties Update, R125
Contrary to what WisDOT'd ArcGIS map says, almost all of R125 is unpaved. That wasn't all that surprising, given the other Rustic Roads in those counties.
New Rustic Roads have been added since I started this project. Today's video returns to Dane county, where R124 was added between my visit in 2022 and the video I posted in 2023.

Rustic Road 124 was designated between the time I started posting my rides, and the time I got around to posting Dane county.
It has been a busy week here, but just in time for the weekend I have a new leader for most Rustic Roads in a single county, including the newest one, R126! Here's Walworth county.

As promised, more Rustic Roads content! Today is Racine county's turn. Make sure you're comfy - there are six roads to cover here!

The sudden reveal of the rock wall at the limestone quarry just north of WI-11 was kind of a sight to behold.
