Happy 88th birthday to Roy Thinnes, former fighter of invading aliens and part-time architect (though I don’t recall David Vincent stopping to do much architectural work).

Thinnes also starred in The Norliss Tapes (one of the best TV pilots never to make it to series), played Roger Collins in the short-lived Dark Shadows revival, and was a contender for the role of Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation, though he lost out on that particular gig to some English bloke.
