Update from #Rosada #MarsTheArrival #SciFi
It's been a while!
May 16th 2137
The recent shipment, a larger colony ship, brought 32 new settlers, most of them excitable colonists wholly unprepared for the harsh environment and lack of opportunities at this stage.
Accommodation is cramped, with the expedition teams all back on site. We went from 92 souls to 124 overnight, so resources are stretched to twice what they were only a few months ago.

The second outcome was a “State of the Nation” review, which will conduct interviews with settlers and produce a documentary marking the first 5 years of #Rosada That’s more an ethnographic study, and I sense will also give a picture of the culture that’s developing here.

Update from #Rosada Mars settlement:
1st January 2136
Our little community now has 64 souls, although at any time 20-30 of them are off-site. Life continues to be a little mundane for the remaining technicians and colonists. Tempers are starting to wear thin, especially with the managers, colonists and MAA officials who can’t do much to support the effort. We seriously need to be able to provide a bigger habitat or community centre.

Update from #Rosada, a fictional #Mars settlement based on the mobile game Mars: The Arrival.
27th March 2134
Disappointment in the lab as the samples analysed so far don't show anything but dust, nothing we didn't already know about the regolith and underlying structure. Still, it is helping us to map out the region. Updates are being sent back to Earth.
23rd May 2134
Still nothing but rocks and gases to show for our exploration, so we're going a bit further now, with a 25 day tour.

Another update from #Rosada, my fictional #Scifi narrative of a Martian colony. This is all pretty much directly taking from my gameplay of mobile game #MarsTheArrival, which just shows the depth of the tech tree and the evolution of the game.

INCOMING MESSAGES+++
1st January 2133
14 of us celebrated a New Year, though not as festive as we would have hoped.
We are enhancing the habitats with improved AV equipment in each unit, which has allowed the crew to spend more time communicating with loved ones on Earth and making our supporters aware of the logistical problems we face. It also allows for monitoring from a central location, which should improve safety and security.

MESSAGE RECEIVING+++
31st July 2132
Our water reclamation unit is now operational, and generates a good amount of biomass. Some is used in the greenhouse, the rest we store… thankfully well away from the habitats and the smell doesn't travel in a vacuum anyway. Our negotiations for resupply are ongoing, and we await our second shipment in the next few weeks.

I am still enjoying Mars - The Arrival, the mobile space settlement game. My little community has gone through a lot of changes and I've turned the timeline into a sort of #scifi story as I go along. https://spacey.space/@astrodad/109865867701006830
So here comes the first entry from #Rosada!
Attached: 3 images Review (not mine) of a very slow but detailed Mars settlement idle game, on Android and iPhone. Has kept me interested enough to chip in to join the forum and look at other colonies. https://gyrovague.com/2021/10/27/mars-the-arrival-an-ode-to-the-slowest-game-in-the-world/
