Ripple Energy bought out of administration by 1st Energy
It's a bit rude that this is in the press before us actual co-op owners get any direct information 😠
Hopeful news for the first 3 projects:
The company’s immediate focus will be on Ripple Energy’s three active project sites, including Kirk Hill, the Graig Fatha Windfarm, and Derril Water Solar Farm.
But this doesn't sound very promising:
The Whitelaw Brae site, currently under construction, will remain under the control of the administrators, with customers related to this site receiving updates directly from the administrators in due course.

Looks like Ripple energy are bankrupt. Real shame as they had an interesting business model. I would have put some money into them but as I'm off-grid in the UK I could never get any benefit from the scheme.
I hope someone can take it over and rescue something from the ashes.
@burtyb @tamsin in hindsight the cooperative structure for each project still looks complicated, but was a very wise design.
I hope #OctopusEnergy etc will continue their relationships with each ex- #RippleEnergy coop, or like you I’m painfully out of pocket!

I have a small interest in Derril Water Solar Farm.
It does look well-designed, with the SPV for each project separate from the management company.
So I still expect electricity in a few weeks.
But, I know little of such things.
