I have no sense of how well-known this #SNL sketch is. But I remember seeing it live on TV at the age of 15 and being so perplexed by it. It was the last sketch of the show, it was so clearly not getting a big laugh, it was so late at night, and it had such an uneasy quality about it that it permanently embedded itself in my brain.

It’s what I think of when I think of “10-to-1” sketches.
