I miss working with rice. I was delighted to see these paddies that were freshly transplanted while in Japan. The transplanter is visible in the background of a few of the photos, being driven around the edge of the paddy.

I’m starting to think I’m grown up enough to be a parent. I have an ice cream tub full of savoury rice in the fridge and when I think about buying pizza I tell myself “Theres rice in the fridge” I can feel the pride of my ancestors flowing through my veins.
