Yesterday on August 6, Iranian Kurdish musician Reza Rasaei was executed after a trial marked by torture allegations and coerced confessions.

Arrested during 2022 protests sparked by Mahsa Amini's death, Rasaei was convicted of killing an intelligence commander and charged with "war against God." Rasaei was unable to defend himself at trial.

His execution has drawn international condemnation, highlighting Iran's human rights abuses.
