I did a “favourites of 2025” on my other account and thought it would be fun to do it here for gacha games: favourite event story and favourite character released this year. I only play two games, so here they are:

Event story: Lantern Rite, the story was so great, I love Liyue the most, and Xiao was there, so that was an easy pick!

Character: As much as I love the Nod-Krai cast, it’s still Mizuki. She’s C2R1, I love her since I saw her teaser, Dining on a Dish of Dreams. I also struggled with pain in my fingers this year (mostly from riding my bike, but using controller didn’t help), and 2025 is also the year I broke my elbow, so I came to really appreciate her gameplay and I enjoyed playing her a lot (and still am!)

#Reverse1999

Event story: A Long, Long Way. The story is about WWI, it’s by far my favourite story of R1999, not just the ones released this year.

Character: Charon, I have his P3, and I’m saving for his P5 for whenever he will rerun. I don’t even like playing Dynamo that much, but at P3 he does a lot of damage in addition to his support capabilities. I think his kit is really cool, his burst animation is so beautiful, his design unique to say the least, and I really really loved his character story.
