🔻 aetios 🇪🇺Our fan wasn't working, so at the hackerspace we disassembled the whole thing and even dremeled out the rivets holding the motor together so we could open it. (replaced with some m4 bolts)
That turned out to be a little over the top, but it was fun to see the inside of the motor. The whole thing only needed some lubrication. Instead we reassembled it incorrectly no less than 3 times.
Was a ton of fun to play with and its insane to think this perfectly working fan might have ended up on a trash pile.
