Lithuanian student Gabrielė helps with translation and housework. She lives with Jacqueline and Leon for the first few weeks in the secluded house in the mountains (I assume the Pyrenees). Over time, a different understanding of upbringing, culture and attitude becomes apparent. Jacqueline comes into conflict with Gabrielė, on the one hand the controlling adoptive mother, on the other the bittersweet joy of the manipulative key position in interpreting. A
