@SnoopJ yeah, #RegionLocking in my eyes needs to be outlawed.
- #FunFact: #Nintendo charges aboit $200 less in #Japan for the #Switch2 and does use #RegionLock to prevent #GreyExports…
@FuturisticRobert @tezoatlipoca @whatdidmarksay in fact, I'd go out of my way that the only cases where I've seen people pirate stuff is when they couldn't get a legal copy (or even afford it)…
Not to mention the whole fuckup of #Enshittification like #RegionCoding / #RegionLocking #DVD & espechally blu-ray drives.
And that assumes the content you want to buy is even available in your region:

IMHO #Copyrights and #IP laws should.mandate #FRAND legislation and be null and void if it's not possible to legally obtain permanent access/license to said content/product.
#Geoblocking and #RegionLocking should be outlawed as racist, discriminatory and anti-#ConsumerRights!
If a corpoation doesn't provide any means to legally obtain their IP, they should be prohibited from claiming "damages" due to #piracy in general!
@SnoopJ yeah, #RegionLocking in my eyes needs to be outlawed.
@chrysn @rm4 @glennmagusharvey Eeyupp...
