One of the unexpected but very welcome advantages of #Mastodon, is that if you leave it alone for a while because you have nothing to say, it doesn't come begging for your attention. It doesn't need to, because it's not selling you. Thereby it doesn't cause you to produce "hot takes" or tap into mass emotions (like outrage) to engage for engagement's sake. And it leaves your mind free to do some thinking, or reading, or walking, independently. #RecoveringTwitaholic
