It's always difficult for me to choose Christmas repertoire... My standard objections are that the songs are either too religious or too secular, which is a net that nothing escapes from. Well, here's this week's #StupidAccordionTrick, #JacksonBrowne's #RebelJesus, which might just have found a way to be both problematic flavours simultaneously.
When someone suggests you should be more like #Jesus, remind them that #socialjustice, #universalhealthcare, kicking over tables and chasing #bankers with a bullwhip is DEFINITELY in that wheelhouse. Jesus might not eat the rich, but he would damn well feed the poor, and then talk to them of the plight of #sexworkers, #prisoners and #immigrants and invite them to do the same.

A YT video had a Japanese title forRebel Riot from Myanmar(Burma). I think it was big bold colorful Japanese Katakana that said The Buddha is Punk. That glaring headline and the band's name got me thinking of Rebel Jesus by JacksonBrowne.
