Roma, 4 giu. (Adnkronos) - Apre oggi la “Casa della Memoria e della Resistenza” in via dei Giubbonari 38. Lo spazio, che era la sede storica del Pci dedicata al partigiano Guido Rattoppatore, sarà un luogo multifunzionale, con circa 30 postazioni dedicate allo studio e al coworking, un proiettore e uno spazio di archivio dedicato alla memoria della Resistenza. La presidente del I municipio di Roma Lorenza Bonaccorsi sottolinea: “Ricordare fatti e persone che diedero vita alla Resistenza in città, trasmettere questo patrimonio alle giovani generazioni è il compito della Casa della Resistenza Romana. Un luogo plurale di approfondimento, di riflessione, di studio, di iniziativa".
"Così l'abbiamo sempre immaginata sin da quando a gennaio del 2021 vi fu la prima memoria della giunta del I Municipio e poi una seconda memoria tra i primi atti di questa giunta ad ottobre del 2022 a dimostrare la volontà nostra di procedere. Un impegno che ha visto protagonisti la maggioranza e anche forze di minoranza in consiglio municipale e che tutte voglio qui ringraziare", continua.
"Proprio qui fuori è affissa la targa in ricordo di Guido Rattopatore, operaio comunista che abitava nel rione, a cui fu dedicata appunto la sezione del Pci, che sul finire del gennaio 1944 mette a punto con un amico, Umberto Scattoni, un piano di attacco ad uno dei covi romani dei nazifascisti - conclude - Ecco, Guido Rattoppatore è l'esempio di quella Roma che si è battuta, che non è stata a guardare, che in tempi bui non si è voltata da un'altra parte, non ha taciuto. Vale per ieri, vale sempre. Viva la Resistenza”.

Rome, June 4 (Adnkronos) – The “House of Memory and Resistance” opens today at via dei Giubbonari 38. The space, which was the historic headquarters of the Pci dedicated to partisan Guido Rattoppatore, will be a multifunctional space with approximately 30 workstations for study and coworking, a projector, and an archive space dedicated to the memory of the Resistance. The president of Rome’s 1st Municipality, Lorenza Bonaccorsi, states: “Remembering the facts and people who gave life to the Resistance in the city, transmitting this heritage to young generations is the task of the Roman Resistance House. A plural space for in-depth study, reflection, study, and initiative."
“That’s how we’ve always envisioned it, ever since January 2021, when the 1st Municipality’s first memory was recorded, and then a second memory among the first acts of this administration in October 2022, demonstrating our willingness to proceed. An undertaking that involved the majority and also minority forces in the municipal council, and that I would like to thank everyone here,” she continues.
“Right here outside is affixed the plaque in memory of Guido Rattopatore, a communist worker who lived in the district, to whom this section of the Pci was dedicated, which, at the end of January 1944, with a friend, Umberto Scattoni, devised an attack plan against one of the Roman strongholds of the Nazi-fascists – she concludes – Guido Rattoppatore is the example of that Rome that fought, that didn’t stand idly by, that in dark times didn't turn away from another side, and didn’t remain silent.
