My intrepid and committed wife, who has been on "polling place visibility" duty at our neighborhood site since 6 am, reports that traffic has been remarkably light. Since we have tended to vote early in past elections she has a general idea of how big a crowd to expect at that time of day -- so her impression has some weight. Makes me wonder if even a larger percent of the electorate voted early than we thought.
