AGI - Pauroso incidente stradale a Mazara del Vallo, nel trapanese: uno scuolabus diretto verso la Borgata Costiera si è scontrato con una Nissan Qashqai. Sul mezzo scolastico viaggiavano gli alunni della Santa Gemma-Boscarino-Pirandello accompagnati da assistenti del servizio comunale.
Il bilancio dell'incidente è di 18 feriti, tra i quali 14 bambini e 4 adulti. Lo riferiscono i vigili del fuoco, che dal primo pomeriggio sono impegnati nel mettere in sicurezza l'area dell'incidente. I feriti sono stati trasportati in ospedale.

A RaiNew24 il sindaco di Mazara del Vallo, Salvatore Quinci, spiega la dinamica dell'incidente: "E' stato uno scontro violento: un'auto, tra l'altro priva di assicurazione, è arrivata a forte velocità senza fermarsi allo stop e ha centrato in pieno un nostro scuolabus. A bordo c'era una famiglia: una coppia con cinque bambini piccoli con la signora incinta. Abbiamo due bambini in età di scuola elementare che sono rimasti feriti in modo più grave: uno ha una frattura scomposta al polso e l'altro ha un possibile versamento, saranno entrambi trasferiti in ospedale a Palermo. E' stato uno spavento enorme, poteva essere una disgrazia. Anche la signora che è in gravidanza per fortuna non presenta sintomi che destano preoccupazioni".

On RaiNew24, the mayor of Mazara del Vallo, Salvatore Quinci, explains the dynamics of the accident: "It was a violent collision: a car, moreover uninsured, reached high speed without stopping at the stop sign and hit our school bus head-on. There was a family on board: a couple with five small children and a pregnant woman. We have two children in elementary school age who have been injured more seriously: one has a compound fracture in his wrist and the other may have a fluid buildup, both will be transferred to the hospital in Palermo. It was a huge fright, it could have been a disaster. Fortunately, the pregnant woman does not appear to have symptoms that raise concerns."
