quite the change of pace (and temperature) ... after two great weeks in spring-beautiful wellington, NZ for #RUG2025 and #iPRES2025 (=filled with nerdiness), i'm now attending a workshop by WGL AK Archive/AK Research Data in gloomy autumn Berlin with engaged discussions between "classical" archivists and repository managers / data stewards on "what belongs in the archive?"
The 14th International Rosetta User Group #RUG2025 is now kicking off in Wellington, NZ. After bumpy flights, unexpected nights elsewhere, lost luggage for the on-site participants and late-night-espresso-shots to stay awake for the online-participants we are now starting the day with short institutional updates. always very helpful to hear what colleagues around the world have been up to - and reassuring to hear that everyone is facing similiar problems.
Starting my long travel to #RUG2025 & #ipres2025 right now. First thing was completing the NZ Travel declaration via the app … where the first question was for the name I wish to be addressed with, clearly stating that this doesn’t have to be the name on my passport. I may be starting this trip with tears of joy. So thankful that there are people in this world who realize what a huge difference this simple form field /question can name for folks like me.
