Emeritus Prof Christopher May#RIPGordonMoore who when with IBM formulated his famous #MooresLaw which observed that the number of transistors on a computer chip would double about every two years.
This was an observation that he expected to continue for a while, but in the end despite claims at times that Moore's Law had expired, with some variations in strict timing it has remained pretty valid.
