I'm sad that one of my favorite writers, Alice Munro, passed away on Monday at the age of 92.
I started reading her over 30 years ago and she remains, along with Raymond Carver, one of my favorite authors.
She left such a huge body of work, it will take me years to get to all of stories.
But I get to savor them and take my time.

El mundo tendrá que reconocer en su momento que en el siglo XX la gran escritora de cuentos fue Alice Munro. Quizás Raymond Carver pueda discutir eso, pero Munro es una maestra de la sutileza, claridad, realismo y psicología femenina. El amor de una mujer generosa es de los textos mas bellos que he leído.
Que la tierra le sea leve.
