Physicists have discovered a new state of matter hidden in the quantum world. The state, called a quantum spin liquid, is a liquid-like arrangement of magnetic moments that can exist even at very low temperatures. The discovery could help to understand the exotic properties of quantum materials, such as superconductivity and magnetism. It could also pave the way for new technologies based on quantum information. #quantumspinliquid #quantummatter #quantuminformation https://www.sciencealert.com/physicists-discover-a-new-state-of-matter-hidden-in-the-quantum-world?utm_source=flipboard&utm_content=HariTulsidas%2Fmagazine%2FMind+and+Matter
Physicists Discover a New State of Matter Hidden in The Quantum World

You're familiar with the states of matter we encounter daily – such as solid, liquid, and gas – but in more exotic and extreme conditions, new states can appear, and scientists from the US and China just found one.
