Going into the fireworks in Sydney is an effort. Neither my son nor I like uncontrolled crowds so we rarely do it. This would be the 5th time I’ve done it, and the 2nd for my son.

These are some of his photos that he took with my phone. He turned 18 today and seeing the fireworks live was part of my present to him.

It’s been an honour raising him. I am so proud of him (and his photography skills). I can’t believe I’m now the parent of an adult, though.

I can’t wait to see what he does with the next 18 years and beyond.
