Former Chief Human Trafficking Prosecutor and teacher, Representative Ann Johnson, knows what she's talking about. She works as an attorney in our criminal justice system for victims of sexual exploitation and those who cannot afford a lawyer.

Banning sexual health and puberty education makes it easier for predators to take advantage and exploit a child's ignorance. It makes it easier for predators to abuse children in ways they don't understand.

Donald Trump is attacking education—again. His exec order opens the door to legitimize Trump University, the same scam that cost him $25M. AFT & AAUP call it what it is: corruption. This isn’t policy. It’s grift—on your dime. #TrumpWatch #ProtectEducation #NoMoreScams www.aft.org/press-releas...

History Repeats Itself – Unless We Break the Cycle

When education is controlled, censored, or dismantled, oppression thrives. Across history, regimes have feared the power of knowledge—because an educated people cannot be controlled. From colonial rule to modern-day extremism, silencing education has always been a tool of oppression.

From apartheid South Africa to Latin American dictatorships, from Nazi Germany to the Khmer Rouge—governments have repeatedly dismantled education to control the people. Today, in the U.S., Project 2025 policies and executive orders aim to defund public education, restrict curricula, and impose ideological control.

🚨 Education is Liberation. If we don’t fight for the right to learn, history will repeat itself again.

Florida teachers unions head to trial over anti-union law

Florida’s teachers unions are heading back to court in a federal lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of requirements for certain unions. A trial is scheduled to begin Thursday morning at a federal courthouse in Tallahassee. The case targets a law that sets a higher threshold for membership requirements and prohibits unions from automatically deducting dues from members’ paychecks. Unions representing first responders are exempt. Leaders of the teachers unions argue the law is designed to punish Gov. Ron DeSantis' critics in organized labor, while carving out exceptions for his political allies. DeSantis said when he signed the law that it would lead to more take-home pay for teachers.
