I've been working in the IT space since I turned 18, mostly as tech support or Help Desk type roles, currently serving as a tier 2 help desk tech and beginning to wonder if programming might be a better fit/more lucrative

Buuut, I know very little about programming outside of making simple Powershell scripts. Is this something worth getting into, and where would someone like me start?
