Зовите меня злодейкой, но я назову себя дьяволицей
I just tried the Modrinth App again, and it’s way better than last time I tried. My go-to has been PrismLauncher, but either I missed some feature or switching mc version with mods isn’t trivial.
It shouldn't, but it always feels like a minor miracle when some semi-recent software I haven't run in years just works exactly as it did despite all the time of "neglect".
In this case my old modded Minecraft server booted just fine with the proper Java version detected exactly where I left it. And #prismlauncher still had my pack as it was, though it didn't do a good job of communicating my Microsoft login had expired.
Em pensar que postei um #video do #AtLauncher e estou usando #PrismLauncher . Sinceramente, para #Linux, não tem outro melhor!
I was wondering how to sync minecraft instances across devices since Nextcloud is absolutely not up to the task. Then someone mentioned syncthing and I switched to it yesterday and it is absolutely fabulous.
I remember trying out syncthing decades ago and dismissing it in favour of dropbox for my use-case back then. Yeah, different use-case, I'm still using nextcloud for other tasks, but syncthing has definitely improved a lot.
for the last few hours i was sucked into multiple rabbit holes reagrding running a modded #minecraft server
what really downs me right now tho was me being stupid when running mc locally:
i updated all packages before installing the #prismlauncher and that updated my graphics drivers
but since i was in a discord call, i was too lazy to reboot
then i got to where i could start modded mc and always got errors
the problems made me forget i needed to reboot, but not rebooting caused the problems
