I still maintain that the NSW #PotatoScallop and the Victorian #PotatoCake are different. The potato scallop of my NSW youth was battered and deep fried slices of potato, vs the Victorian potato cakes of my adulthood, being a reconstituted potato item, battered and deep fried.

As such, the McDonalds “#PotatoScallops” are, in fact, #PotatoCakes.
