Dit zijn de drie ezels die een natuurgebied in de Rotterdamse haven gaan onderhouden. Het is een proef die het Havenbedrijf Rotterdam uitvoert in samenwerking met Grazelands Rewilding. De drie dieren gaan grazenderwijs helpen bij het terugdringen van de woekerende duindoorn op de leidingstrook in het gebied. Een primeur voor Nederland, om ezels in een natuurgebied te plaatsen.

Geuzenbos - Port of Rotterdam

These are the three donkeys that will be maintaining a nature reserve in the Port of Rotterdam. This is a pilot project being conducted by the Port of Rotterdam Authority in collaboration with Grazelands Rewilding. The three animals will use grazing to help control the encroachment of sea buckthorn on the pipeline corridor in the area. This is a first for the Netherlands to place donkeys in a nature reserve.
