Years ago, I was part of a whole fire circle community, and I had a fun Fossil pocket watch that had a moving screen of flames that I would wear at events. It was like a $30 watch.

Found it in a box recently, took it to a watch repair place to get it up and running again. Turns out there was moisture inside and there is damage that cannot be repaired.

Online, used versions are now running about $300.

Good-bye, flame pocket watch, I won't be buying you again.

My new Dalvey Half Hunter Pocket Watch in Cerulean Blue. It has a 17-crystal Sea-Gull movement, and after doing some digging I think it is the ST3600K. It seems to lose about a minute a day, but watching it is mesmerizing, and it adds a lovely amount of heft to a waistcoat pocket.

I've been carrying a Relic Folio with quartz movement for more than thirty years, but the numbers have started coming off of the dial. I figured it was time for a new one, and this is a gorgeous device!
