Jennifer Ebeling#Waterproof #Boots and #Shoes:
1 pound boiled #Linseed oil
2 oz of #Wax
2 oz of #Turpentine
1 oz burgundy #Pitch
Melt over a slow fire.
With this, [rub onto] new Shoes & Boots in the #Sun with a #Sponge [until] dry.
[Repeat] until fully #Saturated.
Then the #Leather is #Impervious to wet.
The shoes and boots last longer, acquire softness and #Pliability & are the most effective against #Cold.
