I just managed to get a #Plextor PX-AV200U digital video converter working on #Debian 12.
It worked after first running "sudo rmmod em28xx; sudo modprobe em28xx card=9" – then I could use it as a source in OBS studio.
Didn't get the audio to work, but I just connected it to the microphone input on the computer instead.
De hecho #Plextor tenía una funcionalidad llamada #Autostrategy. Era básica. Guardaba como mucho 30 perfiles en la memoria de la grabadora. No era algo dinámico, no era un protocolo que permitiera al programa de grabación generar perfiles. Lo hacía la propia grabadora internamente sin tomar varias muestras de un mismo identificador de disco por lo que el ajuste no podía ser tampoco muy bueno. Funcionaba en discos malos como los mencionados #Princo. Si la grabadora disponía de un perfil hecho por el fabricante, era mejor dicho perfil.
Con un formato estándar los programas grabadores pueden subir perfiles a un repositorio en Internet. Se formaría una base de datos para todos los fabricantes y grabadoras y los programas de grabación podrían bajárselos automáticamente para uso de la grabadora de tu sistema.
Ahora que los algoritmos de aprendizaje automático están más extendidos tal vez se pueda afinar mucho más para asegurar grabaciones con menos errores y más velocidad.
