Some dodgy plastic welding later (melting a piece I cut off elsewhere) and we're in business! I just used my soldering iron to melt this, and by clipping a tab off another unused part I could be sure it would be compatible and melt together nicely.

These #plasticwelding clamps (de: Heisnieten) are a great way to #repair broken stuff where glue would just not be practical.

Case in point: I accidentally broke my #3Dprint sign and rather than re-printing it, I successfully glued and then plastic welded it. (Reduce Waste 👍)

Is actually stronger than before. 💪

Might even be useful to actively strengthen freshly printed parts. 🤔

Pues ayer estuve soldando plástico porque estoy reformando un guardabarros. Lo he acortado y hay que asear y rematar el corte y mover las inserciones de los intermitentes.
Queda injertar algo de metal en las uniones a modo de refuerzo y lijar y pulir.
