pkgforge is a very promising project.

It uses a package manager called Soar to create centralized repositories for AppImage, FlatImage, static binaries, and more. It installs them into their own directories with checksum verification and transparent build logs.

I love the idea of a central hub for all these portable formats. It makes things so much easier for the user.
