I started with the “complicated” piece in 2021 or 2022. I finished the hand embroidery but it didn’t feel done, so I stashed it for years. I recently learned to do needle tatting and thought it would be exactly what this piece needed!

That was true enough to get me to also make the “simple” piece, which was tedious because I couldn’t leave any errors at all in it. I had to frog whole lines three times.

RIP Tony Hoare, whose wisdom is needed more every day.

@wendynather Someone shared this the other day. Let's be that support always
I think the secret reason that so much open source software is designed for CLI use is NOT just that we really like the console, but the deeper and much more true reason is that writing a GUI is a pain

Somehow I feel like the "just ship" culture pushed LLM "cybersecurity" up because good code which accounts for security probably won't be torn down that easily by an overfed Markov chain

Even if it finds something a little novel, the team will atleast be able to fix it and redeploy code in no time

I think the "AI" crowd systematically dismantled this among a lot of students with hackathon culture where LLMs are overly prevalent, then directly fed these students into the industry with no breathing time and told them it's about "who's in control"

remind yourself of who you are.

remind yourself of what you want.

remind yourself of what you're doing.

remind yourself of what you carry with you inwards,

and what you carry out.

and most importantly

remind yourself of the difference between your self and other, because if you let the other past that difference, the self will be lost.

then seal your intent and your purpose, and then you can engage with the demon summoning or whatever the fuck horseshit you're wasting six counties' worth of electrical output to do.

Reviews like this make the blood, sweat and tears working on this adventure game while being an underpaid social worker in the US ghetto worth it. And yeah, let's make cyberpunk PUNK again! http://store.steampowered.com/app/673850/ #cyberpunk #indiegame #indiedev #SteamDeals
