I made several bad decisions during my thesis write-up but not figuring out how to use the ‘glossaries’ Latex package early on in the writing process and compiling my abbreviations list as I go is *really* up there with some of the worst.

Arrrgh I spent a while this afternoon crafting a paragraph of a discussion/perspectives section in my thesis and then, at the end, went back to one of my results figures to link it to my observations. This made me discover a *fatal flaw* in my hypothesis, so I had to delete the whole paragraph.
