St Madoes Stone - a Pictish cross-slab on display at Perth Museum and Art Gallery. The stone originally stood in the village of St Madoes, near Perth. St Madoes is the nickname for Aedan - a 6th century Irish Saint. πΈ My own. #StandingStoneSunday #SundayStonework #PerthMuseum
Congratulations to #PerthMuseumUK for winning the Museum Association's Championing Social Justice Award
with their #Unicorn exhibition.
The MA write "As part of an exploration of Scotlandβs national animal, the exhibition focuses on the unicorn as a LGBTQ+ symbol. Working in collaboration with community groups, the exhibition includes 5 newly-commissioned artworks by queer Scottish artists, local objects and oral histories, a queer-friendly family space, and a rich engagement programme."
As far as I can tell #PerthMuseum isn't on the Fediverse.
