what first made us human was:

why we're hairless (perspiration, dissipate heat)

we were kind of a horror (we still are):

"look there's something slowly bounding towards me in the distance, i'll just sprint away"

{a few minutes later}

"there's that thing again. no problem i'll sprint away again"

{rinse, repeat}

"i'm tired, it's hot... it's still there! AH!"
