Chrysotile vs Pectolite (planetary science edition)
Chrysotile, a member of the serpentine group, has been found in meteorites, for example in an aqueously altered fragment from the Almahata Sita meteorite together with amphiboles.
Pectolite occurs in the hydrothermally altered central uplift of the Manicouagan impact structure in Canada together with analcime, thompsonite, hematite, prehnite and anhydrite.

#Chrysotile is a mineral that will make you sick while #Pectolite sounds like short-lived artificial sweetener that will eventually make you sick.
Mmmm okay let's be honest, #chrysotile has a loooong and storied history ("if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with mesothelioma, you may be entitled to compensation"), but I've gotta give it to #pectolite!
Because a) look at those cool formations it makes, and b) *larimar*! Larimar is pectolite that gets its color from copper, and as far as anyone has ever found, is *only* found in the Dominican Republic. Limited source! High cost! 100% gorgeous! (There's a reason I only have small pieces lol.)

This is the super-rare Larimar mineral. Is a variation of pectolite (the blue color is the result of copper substitution for calcium) found only in the Dominican Republic.
