#GrindayFriday this week is a unique one- in the same way Lipoma has unique melodic riffs with the grind vocals, Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (known as GIST) has the goregrind vocals but also has some slow, catchy, crushing doom riffs. Very doomy stuff. And of course your standard pitch shifted medical pathological passages. Many fine hymns to gore here on their second release, the EP 'Preservation of Decomposing Tissue via Adipocere Formation'.

It's #GrindayFriday! Brazil's LYMPHATIC PHLEGM are pathological goregrind legends, and their 2007 record 'Show-Off Cadavers - The Anatomy of Self-Display' is my favorite of theirs. Dynamics, melodies, killer riffs- you can hear how they've influenced Lipoma, Sulfuric Cautery, Tunkio, etc.

For #GrindayFriday this week, a big favorite since discovering them a year ago- New York's LIPOMA. Lipoma is one dude (Max Pierce) who writes & records all this. I mentioned Lipoma in April, but today new LP 'No Cure for the Sick' is out and it's DAMN great. More melodic, unique guitar riffing, and some really wild, odd stuff on this one - one song has organ in it. With pathological goregrind vocals. 😂 Weird, gross, wonderful.

Okay, it's a gross one. I really DO try to post grind other than goregrind if possible every week, even though goregrind is my main love. 😂 This week's #GrindayFriday is a new one I've been digging. Akron, Ohio's HISTOLOGIST just released new LP 'Deep Biopsy Needed for Necrotic Pathology' and this thing shreds. There's dynamics, some death metal breakdown creepiness, cool guitar tones, awesome drumming. Really great stuff all around.
