We were pleased to see Leader Pierre Polievre speak clearly to state that he will challenge systemic mistreatment of #Muslim charities by the CRA.
It is time for change.
We will work to hold all those in power to account.
We need to make sure that tangible change happens.
But we need your help to pave this #PathtoJustice.

Attacks on our mosques have increased this Ramadan.
“A large number of people are afraid and just tired of having to look over their shoulders all the time,"
said NCCM spokesperson Steven Zhou.
"These are very surreal conversations."
Islamophobia may be on the rise but we will not be intimidated.

These are positive steps,
but we are also concerned by large increases to budgets of security agencies that lack robust oversight.
We will continue to advocate for a Path to Justice against Islamophobia everywhere.
This is a huge step in the right direction and we look forward to working with authorities to make sure that correct implementation is carried out.

Things have finally changed.
The Ministry of Finance today acknowledged the need to fix systemic bias in its Risk Assessment Model, in place since 2015.
It also acknowledged that organizations, including Muslim charities, that engage in overseas philanthropy don't pose an inherent threat.
This is a good start,
But more needs to be done.
