Parsl: Parallel Scripting in Python

Thanks to a recent contribution to our project from Globus Senior Software Engineer Reid Mello, Parsl users can now enable encryption to protect all communication between the HighThroughputExecutor (HTEX) and related nodes using CurveZMQ.

In our new community blog post, @benc and #Parsl Power User Andrew Rosen dive into solutions they uncovered to pass complex data structures in computational workflows.

Learn more about their journey and Quantum Accelerator (quacc). An open source Python library for computational materials science workflows, which utilizes Parsl for orchestration, that streamlines the discovery of novel materials to tackle clean energy and sustainability challenges.

Thank you to everyone who attended our "Developing Large-Scale Parallel Programs in Python with Parsl" workshop at the CMD-IT/Tapia Conference in Dallas yesterday!

Over 40 people participated in the session to learn about #Parsl and how it helps accelerate research in various domains, including computational biology, astrophysics, materials science, and more.

A special shout-out to UChicago CS Prof. Kyle Chard and #Postdoc Researcher Valerie Hayot-Sasson for leading this workshop.
